Studyng: a peer tutoring App

Year 3 Diploma in Mass Communication

Module: User Experience for Interactive Design

This is a prototype of a simulated mobile application created for MOE, designed based on user and market research. The app serves as an online peer tutoring platform among students for academic subjects. The main aim of the app is to allow students to aid one another in their studies in a fun, social, and engaging environment, enhanced by gamification elements. The orange portion of the logo is meant to emulate a person reaching out and helping another, as with how the purpose of the app is for students to help one another. Orange and blue are used to represent

encouragement and reliability respectively.

This website was designed and coded for a service-learning project with our client organisation, Raining Raincoats. I designed the logo and aided in conceptualising some elements of the website design.

I coded 4 of the 6 pages: the homepage, Take Action page, Media Coverage page and Contact page. The website was coded to be fully functional and responsive so that it would be optimised for mobile devices and tablets as well.

The rounded brushstroke portion of the logo says "じ / ji" in Japanese, representing the first syllable of the brand name "Jiseido".

Fms stories 2018

Year 1 Diploma in Mass Communication

Module: Visual Communication

These are simulated posters for FMS Stories, an annual graduation showcase. As seen in my 1st draft, I initially intended to create a straightforward design with standard media and showcase-related elements such as lights and a camera. However, I then came up with a design with a more purposeful meaning – with the iceberg implying the hard work and effort of every student behind every work seen in the showcase.
